Temple of Apollo
Located on the coastal section of the Ancient City of Side, the Temple of Apollo rises elegantly against the deep blue of the Mediterranean. Named after the god of light, art, and beauty, this impressive ancient structure is considered one of the most important works that carries the aesthetic and architectural refinement of the Roman period into the present day.
Its Corinthian-style columns and finely carved marble surfaces clearly reflect the artistic understanding of antiquity. Especially at sunset, as sunlight filters through the marble columns and reflects onto the sea, it creates an exceptionally striking visual atmosphere.
The temple and the surrounding ancient harbor ruins bear witness to the region’s thousands of years of history, offering visitors an experience deeply intertwined with the past. This area is not only an archaeological site but also an important landmark reflecting the cultural and historical heritage of the Mediterranean.
